12Interactive tools

Practical infrastructure for the atlas: an interactive amplitude-growth-function explorer for building intuition about ECAP thresholds and slope, and quick links to the glossary, references, progress dashboard, and printable overview. More widgets — spread-of-excitation plotter, artifact-rejection simulator, tNRT-to-level estimator — are planned.

FTAmplitude growth function explorer

Vary the ECAP threshold and the slope of the amplitude growth function and watch how the fitted line and the clinical readouts change. This is the core relationship behind Module 4: the threshold is the x-intercept, and the slope is a soft proxy for the responding neural population.

A higher threshold shifts the whole function right (more current needed before the nerve responds). A steeper slope — more amplitude per current increment — is a soft proxy for a larger or healthier responding neural population, though it is confounded by electrode position. Values here are illustrative current-level units, not a specific device's scale.
